Jehu had to rise up from among the common people.
“And when you arrive there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Go in and get him to stand up from among his companions and take him into an inner room.”
2 Kings 9:2

Elisha understood the process of sanctification very well.
He commanded one of the members of the company of prophets to find Jehu and anoint him as King of Israel.
He instructed him that once he found Jehu, he was to perform two specific actions before anointing him:
1) Take him aside, away from his companions.
2) Lead him into an inner room.

The man finds Jehu, separates him from the common crowd, leads him into an inner room, pours oil upon him, and anoints him as King of Israel.
This, indeed, is the process of sanctification and anointing.

God will set you apart from the common crowd; God will separate you from your companions.
You will come to realize that human beings cannot fill your void, nor are they sufficient to meet your needs.
Through this process, you will rise up from among the ordinary people.

Once God has set you apart from the ordinary, He will invite you into an inner chamber for anointing and commissioning.
In the Old Testament, the ‘inner room’ symbolizes the ‘Most Holy Place.’ Let me tell you: not everyone receives an invitation to enter this inner chamber.
When you enter this inner chamber, God performs miracles; He pours out His Holy Spirit upon you, empowering you and making you successful.
Anyone who has experienced this process has also experienced the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jehu was the tenth King of Israel, and he was the one who brought about the downfall of the wicked Queen Jezebel. In the face of Jehu’s anointing, Jezebel could not stand.
