How deep is our relationship with Father God? How much do you love Him? Is there anything in your life which limits you to express yourself completely to God?

Today I would like to bring your attention to a very adorable incident in Bible (2 Samuel 6:14) where the most magnificent King danced with all his might!

Can you imagine that incident? You were waiting patiently as you heard the news of King David bringing the ark of covenant in the midst of Israelite’s, as time passed by, you heard a loud voice of people shouting with joy and you started rushing to the source of the voice and when you made your way through the crowd you saw King David in his priestly attire dancing there like a fool! The magnificent King, to whom you always looked with awe and submission is now dancing like a fool. The King that has stolen the heart of all Israelite’s with his wise ruling is there dancing with all his might!

What will you feel? Well, it’s up to you… but no matter what you felt, King David was not at all concerned with what you felt or thought about him. At that moment the only concern Kind David had was God and he was overjoyed at His mighty presence. No wonder why was he called as the man after God’s own heart, he truly loved God. He didn’t take hold of his pride, ego or whatever he had; at that intense moment it was less of David, not even King David …it’s just David and more of God.

Now focusing onto our own life we can see what God has blessed us with! He has honored us, valued us, blessed us, he has given us so much!! So much of Him that we truly don’t deserve it but He gave us that! If you haven’t reached there yet imagine someday He honored you so much that you are the head of something great; will you dance like David in front of your employees or people with lower rank than you?

How deep is our relationship with God?

David was a sinful man. He sinned many times but one unique thing about David was His love for God. He always repented of His sins, his sins didn’t separate him from God. He always ran back to God. That’s how deep he loved Him, David never wished to stay away from God rather he always longed to be with God. And that’s why, he was called as the man after God’s own heart, he never stayed away!!

What about us? Where are we in our relationship with Jesus? How deep do we express ourselves to Him in His presence and in front of people? What defines us? God or us? Sometimes, in our life for God to take control, we need to let go of everything that weighs us down. It can be our guilt, shame, pain, pride, ego, lack of faith etc. The more we hold onto this the more we become weary. Why don’t you lay all these at the beautiful feet of Jesus and dance like nothing really matters other than our love for God. Most assuredly, I tell you, your life will change! Because I’ve been there, I’ve felt that… trust me it’s the best feeling in this world and the world to come.

Prepare yourself for the coming of our Lord! It’s not that far and we only have less time!
