Proverbs 16 : 3 and 9 ” Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and HE will establish your plans.” and ” In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.” (NIV version). In the MESSAGE in reads,” (3) Put GOD in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place”. (6) “We plan the way we want to live, but only GOD makes us able to live it.”
My husband and I decided to leave the area due to family struggles that put us in an emotional situation. We prayed about it and found out that it was best to head East to one of the Maritime provinces not realizing that this was all in God’s plan. The place to get to be spiritual healed and be a support to family members in their medical crisis. Back in Ontario three years later, my husband was diagnosed with leukemia and Parkinson’s. He began to show symptoms more readily as the years went by. I had to be with him each step of the way to monitor him. In 2022 he was admitted to a care centre and when this happened, I felt a burden literally lift from my shoulders. Two months later he was called to his mansion on high. I was blessed with 53 years of marriage and through it all God planned all our steps. Yes, we had many valley experiences along with mountain top blessings.
God planted us were we needed to be in order to bloom and be that vessel to encourage others. Don’t lose heart when plans change. It might be God tugging at your heart strings of your soul to be fed and encouraged in your tough times of life.
