GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

JEREMIAH 29:11

“FOR I KNOW PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU, “DECLARES THE LORD, “PLANS TO PROSPER YOU AND  NOT TO HARM YOU, PLANS TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND  A FUTURE”.

Sometimes when we face hardships we forget that God the creator of heaven and earth cares for us. We can find comfort in the scriptures.

When I read Jeremiah 29:11, I understood that it was a letter that was written by prophet Jeremiah to the exiles who had been captured by King Nebuchadnezzar from Jerusalem to Babylon. Further, when I read the book of 2nd Chronicles 36, I was able to grasp that they were captured because they had turned their hearts away from God and gave themselves over to the worship of idols. The lord was not pleased. He sent prophets to warn them but the people rejected the messengers of God. The Bible says that they mocked, despised and scoffed at them. They rejected the message until there was no remedy and nothing could turn back the Lord’s judgment. During the raid, people were killed, Palaces were burned, even King Solomon’s temple was in ruins and all the treasures were carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

What fascinates me is the fact that God still cared for the exiles even though they had rebelled against Him. He still loved them. He was looking at them with his eyes of love and compassion. He still thought about them and His thoughts were good and not evil.

I am writing to encourage you. You might have run away from your  own country because of a crime that you committed. You might be struggling with addiction, pornography, loneliness and defeat. You might be in the slavery of your own thoughts. You think that nobody cares for you. I have good news for you. He is looking at you now with His eyes of love. You should know that you are valuable and God has not forgotten you. He loves you so much.He will never let you go. Come to Him.  He never rejects anyone who comes to Him. Release everything, cast all your cares to Him.He is still whispering the same words to you today.

He is speaking directly to you saying:

       “I know the plans I have for you, plans  to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
