Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

I think that it one of the hardest things to do, especially when you come to Lord Jesus after many years living according to what the world teaches us; that is to trust in The Lord. In situations when you feel as though life has you with your back up against the wall, it may seem and look like there is no way out, and then before you know it, God makes a way out of no way. The impossible becomes possible with God. That is the kind of God that we serve and follow.

Only recently have I started to give myself grace, forgiveness and mercy, especially when I make mistakes or do something wrong or just get caught up in an awkward, icky feeling situation. I know that Jesus loves me and I have people in my life who love me, despite all this goodness, I manage to almost always give myself a hard time, when I don’t act or be as I expect of myself to be. I heard somebody say the other day, that one thing that is good to remember is that we are all human, which means that we are going to stumble and fall and make mistakes, because we are imperfect and can never be perfect. There is only one who has ever been and continues to be perfect and that is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That’s why we need him. That’s why we need to to look to Him at every time and in all times, because He is the only one who can correct all wrongs and lead us to a path that is righteous, because He is righteous.

Sometimes I feel there are situations, where it is evident that things are completely out of your control and all you can do is one or the other. You can worry yourself sick about the situation at hand or you can pray, resting in the faith that God will work everything out for your own good. Like He promises to in the Bible, in

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those are the called according to His Purpose.

In all situations, in every circumstance, sometimes those are your only two choices, to worry or to pray about it. I think I have mentioned this before in one of my other blogs, but before I became a Christian, I used to non stop worry all the time about pretty much everything, it became like this chronic state. Then one day I realised how it is actually a sin to worry, because when you worry, it means that you are not depending on God to see you through whatever situation has presented itself. From the moment I realised this, I pretty much pray about everything, I mean I am human, so I will admit that sometimes as I’m praying, I find myself realising that I am not trusting God, because my prayers are becoming repetitive out of worry and anxiety. Once you can give it all over to God and remember that there is nothing to hard for Him and that He never sleeps or slumbers; sometimes you just have to remember that God has got the situation under control, because you don’t have control. Then it makes it easier to let go of the worry, anxiety, stress and fear and then just trust in Jesus that He is going to work out the situation in your favour, because you put your trust and faith in Him.

We must never give up on ourselves or on God, because with our strong faith in Him, every impossible can become possible with Jesus.

Blessings
